Chicago Wicker Park Real Estate
Wicker Park is located between North Avenue to the North, Division Street to the South, Ashland Avenue to the East and Western Avenue to the West, is named after a small park located right in the middle of the neighborhood. The area has somewhat bohemian feel to it. Its rapid growth, new stores, restaurants like Bongo Room, bars like The Violet Hour, and clubs like Double Door, brought a lot of interest of the hip and artistic crowd.
Wicker Park’s housing consists of turn of the-century-mansions like Mansion View, modern lofts like Indigo Lofts, townhomes like St Johns Park, and numerous new and converted condo buildings including Marquette Row, Vision and Ship House. Price points are much more affordable then in Lincoln Park but much higher then what the long-term residents can afford.
Great restaurants along Damen and Milwaukee Avenues became a dining destination for city dwellers and suburbanites alike. Close proximity to the Kennedy expressway, blue line make it a favorite hang out spot among young professionals and empty nesters looking for the city vibe.
